Meeting JAR
Back in New York and the first thing I did was go to the magnificent JAR (Joel A. Rosenthal) jewelry exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Went to Bergdorf's after to smell his $400 perfume. In walks in the ever elusive, press ,publicity and photo avoiding JAR himself, saying "hi! I am Joel". I said, The Joel whose exhibition I just saw at the Met? Hi, I'm Lynn!" We talked about living in Paris and various other things, then I asked him about these earrings I heard Beyoncé bought., showing the pix I took from the book on display at the Met. He was surprised you can't take photos of the real jewelry then said, No! Someone else bought these 8 months ago, and then described the ones she bought on display at the Met. Mostly all jewelry said private collection. Nothing like getting the correct information from the source .will post pictures when I remember how!

An all in one stove-dishwasher
Living in Paris means you sometimes wind up in the appliance store, like Darty. To my utter disbelief, we found a 3 in one : a stovetop then below that ,an oven, no problem there...but most astonishing of all ,a dishwasher at the bottom. Apartments come small in this big city, so space comes at a premium.
